Kaiser Insurance
Coverage For Travelers
Emergency illness is covered under your health plan.
Kaiser members are covered for Emergency visits to physicians
and the hospital. Members need to pay for any care that they receive internationally
because foreign countries will not accept any guarantee of payment from
Kaiser. Save your bills and get a note from the doctor describing your treatment
and then submit to the Health Plan for reimbursement.
The Health Plan Contract states that if you are 30 miles from a Kaiser
facility and more than 30 miles from home, you are covered for Emergency
care under your Kaiser contract benefits.
A Travel Packet explaining this benefit is available from your local
Health Plan Office and can be mailed to you if you request it from them. |
