Other Diseases Physician letter explaining your medical conditions (for example, drug allergies, heart disease, etc.); most recent copy of your EKG, as well as back-up prescriptions should your supply be lost.

Prescription drugs, e.g., as required for pre-existing medical condition(s) as well as those required for your individual itinerary, such as chloroquine for malaria, etc.

Needles and syringes, with ample back-up supply, if required for a pre-existing medical condition.

In addition, it is advisable to include a letter from your physician explaining your requirements.

First-aid kit with bandages, tape, antibiotic ointment, tweezers, scissors, etc.

Pain medicine (aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen).

Stool softener (Colace®) or glycerin suppositories.

Pepto-Bismol® tablets and Imodium AD® for diarrhea.

Decongestants or 12-hour nasal spray (Afrin®) for emergency use for ear pain on aircraft.

Extra eyeglasses, contact lenses and/or a vision correction prescription, extra hearing aid and batteries.

Insect repellent containing 30% DEET (N, N,-diethyl-meta-toluamide).

Sunscreen of at least SPF15.

Soap, such as an antibacterial type.

Motion-sickness medications, such as Dramamine®, Marezine® or Bonine®, which can be purchased without a prescription, or the prescription drug patch Transderm Scöp® if available and prescribed for you by your physician.
